LSAT-India will be extending multiple scholarships to be conferred in January 2022 and May 2022 to ensure that more students are benefitted in their endeavour to embark on a successful journey towards studying law.
About the Scholarships
The commitment to a programme in a law school is a significant financial investment and not something that everyone can easily afford. The availability of scholarships can make students move ahead unrestricted on the path of their dream career in law. To fulfil LSAC Global’s commitment to providing access to quality law education, LSAC Global has been awarding the following scholarships for the past few years to LSAT-India test takers:

The LSAT-India Topper Scholarship: to the top scorer in the test in Under-Graduate program

The Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Scholarship: to the winner of essay competition, topic for which revolves around diversity every year.
In 2022, high scorers in LSAT-India in both the Under-Graduate as well as the Post-Graduate programme shall receive a total of 53 (fifty-three) scholarships and the winners of the essay competition shall receive 3 (three) scholarships.
About the LSAT-India Topper Scholarship
50 (fifty) toppers scholarships shall be awarded to the top scorers of the LSAT-India 2022 exam who wish to take admissions into the Under-Graduate Programme at an LSAC Global Law Alliance college:

Topper: Rs. 2,00,000 (INR Two Lakhs only)

Second highest scorer: Rs. 1,00,000 (INR One Lakh only)

Third highest scorer: Rs. 1,00,000 (INR One Lakh only)

Fourth & fifth-highest scorer: Rs. 50,000 (INR Fifty Thousand only) each

Sixth to twenty-fifth highest scorer: Rs. 25,000 (INR Twenty-Five Thousand only) each

Twenty-sixth to fiftieth highest scorer: Rs. 15,000 (INR Fifteen Thousand only) each.
3 (three) scholarships shall be awarded to the high scorers of the LSAT-India 2022 exam who wish to take admission into the Post-graduate programme at an LSAC Global Law Alliance college:

Topper: Rs. 2,00,000 (INR Two Lakhs only)

About the Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Scholarship
Conferred in the memory of an extraordinary visionary and influential lawyer, Professor (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer, the scholarship, is awarded to the top three winning entries in the essay competition organised by LSAC Global. It is our humble contribution to Professor Basheer’s ground-breaking efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession.
We also work closely with IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education), a non-profit organisation founded by Prof. Basheer that empowers the under-represented and marginalised groups in India to support their work.
The essay competition is applicable only for candidates applying to the full-time 5 (five) year law programme at the LSAC Global Law Alliance College.
This year’s essay topic is: The Impact of Social Media-Promoting Inclusivity or Widening the Gap?
The candidates could write for or against the topic and send their entries latest by May 6, 2022, to [email protected].
The winners of the essay competition shall be eligible to receive the award to a maximum of specified amount as stated below:

Winner: Rs. 2,00,000 (INR Two Lakhs only).

First runnerup: Rs. 1,00,000 (INR One Lakh only).

Second runnerup: Rs. 1,00,000 (INR One Lakh only).
All scholarships shall cover tuition and boarding/hostel fees for the first year of the specified law programme at any LSAC Global Law Alliance college.
