Dhun Nook is inviting applications for its Nook Fellowship Programme, from bold individuals between 21 and 30 years old who want to play an active role in the education revolution.
Background
The ‘modern’ education system is outdated. Schools and colleges don’t enable their students to create their own meaningful lives according to individual needs and interests, dreams and aspirations. They don’t help us to think out of the box, to develop creative and innovative skills, or to come up with new solutions for the many existing and ever newly emerging challenges and issues we are facing on the local, national and global levels.
Join a global team as Nook Fellow Dhun Life, Chak Gulabpura, 30 km from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
About Dhun
Dhun aspires to create a 500-acre neighbourhood in suburban Jaipur, that comprises living, working, learning and recreational spaces. It is a new foundation to fully realise what is possible in the realm of living development practices.
It aims to reimagine and redesign systems related to education, workplace, commerce, and recreation in order to build a living environment that provides people with the freedom, inspiration, and resources to discover and develop their own potential.
About the Nook Fellowship
Nooks are ‘schools without teachers’ in marginalised communities that provide everyone with free access to technology, tools, resources and information to design and pursue their own education.
Dhun, Jaipur, an ecologically driven community is actively looking for their ‘Nook fellow‘ to run their maker space in collaboration with Project defy.
To apply and work with Dhun as a Nook fellow, the candidate must be a self-driven young adult with a tinkering mindset and a zeal to explore projects with kids. A good understanding of tools, materials, and a sustainable vision shall put you ahead in the line.
The selected candidate will have an opportunity to live in a 530-acre massive land bank amidst trees, grasses, water bodies, and birds. Food and stay shall be sponsored with a monthly salary as per industry standards.
