About the Competition:
The first Dr. K. L. Thakral National Moot Court Competition is designed to foster the development of legal acumen, research abilities, and courtroom advocacy skills among law students. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in an intellectually stimulating environment while exchanging ideas with peers from esteemed law schools and universities across the nation. The competition offers prizes worth up to Rs. 84,000 for the winning teams.

Release of Moot Proposition – 22nd July 2023
Last date of Registration and Payment of Fees - 21 August 2023 [23:59 IST]
Last date of submitting the Softcopy Memorial – 11th September 2023 [23:59 IST]
Researcher’s Test [ONLINE]- 14th September 2023
Prelims Round [ONLINE] – 15th September 2023
Result: Declaration of List of Qualifying Teams – 16th September
Phase 2 (Higher Rounds) (Offline): 13th - 14th October 2023
Venue: Oriental University, Indore
All students enrolled bona fide in an undergraduate (3 years/5 years) or post-graduate law program conducted by any college or university are eligible to participate.
To participate in this prestigious competition, each team must complete the registration process. The registration fee is Rs. 3,000 per team of 2 or 3 members. The deadline for registration is 21st August 2023 (23:59 IST). Please note that registration is mandatory to be part of this event.

For the qualifying teams participating in the higher rounds (Phase 2), accommodation facilities are available at the Oriental University campus. The accommodation fee is Rs. 4,500.
Teams may choose to be accompanied by a faculty escort, and the additional charge for the same is Rs. 2,000.
