About Society for Constitutional Law & Human Rights
SCLHR is a forum dedicated to promote research, to increase student's ability to interpret the law to the changing situations, spread awareness of issues dealing with Comparative Constitutional law & Human Rights. The mission of the society is to promote research dealing with Constitutional law & Human Rights topics; to make the constitution and human rights, a subject matter to read, explore, discuss, debate and deliberate upon by the students beyond the classroom.
About the Event
The Society for Constitutional Law & Human Rights is pleased to organize its second edition of the Human Rights Extempore Competition, on 27th November, 2021 in light to celebrate the Human Rights Day. The main theme of the competition is ‘Extempore related to Human Rights: Special Emphasis on India’.
It’s an open mic competition everyone is welcome to share their point of views and speak in length about the topics given on spot. The speech is intended to reveal a competitor’s ability to develop a point of view on a general topic and to deliver impromptu speech within limited preparation time. The competition will be organized in a hybrid manner from 04:00pm -06:00 pm as there is no bar on the number of participants.
Format for the Extempore Competition

Only Individual participation is allowed.

Each participant will be given a sub topic on spot.

The language of the extempore should be English.

The time limit for each extempore would be 5 minutes.

Every participant will be given 2 minute to prepare for the extempore
-
At the end of 4 minutes a warning will be given to the participants.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify the participant for deviating from the Rules.
Judging Criteria
Eligibility
Students perusing graduate and post graduate degree in any fields of study can participate in the competition.

Note- Certificate of merit will be provided to top 10 participants and participation certificates to all the participants.
