About Legal Aid Clinic
Ascertaining the ones in need, helping them by providing legal advice, and guiding them through the difficulties they might face on their way to acquiring the ends of justice, are the major tasks of the legal aid cell. At UPES Legal Aid Cell, we are a team of aficionados for “we must do what serves the best interest of the ones in need.”
We stand for the protection of rights and the collective best interest of people. The very purpose of our existence is to raise awareness, bridge the gap between the authorities and the general public and help the vulnerable by providing them with the most effective solutions.

Eligibility
The Competition is open for all the students studying in any discipline in the recognized Colleges/ Departments of the Universities in India.
Submission Guidelines
-
Participants are advised to focus on Legal Aid & Services system in India, critical analysis of present legislations, government policies and schemes, role of judiciary with regards to legal aid and services.

Article must reflect some concrete suggestions/recommendations which can be implemented by concerned ministries and authorities.

Article should be original (not published earlier or extracted from other sources) in English, 3000 to 4000 words (New Times Roman, font size 12, 1.5 spacing) including endnotes with proper citation.

Citation must be according to Bluebook 20th edition.

Articles having a plagiarism percentage exceeding 20% will not be acceptable.

Publication Opportunities
All good quality articles will be published in the form of a book/journal/magazine/Electronic resource or any other manner as it may deem appropriate, subject to a sufficient number of good articles.
Outcome of the competition
All entries shall be deemed to be the property of the organizer and the organizer has complete discretion about publication of articles in any form. Articles will be judged by experts, faculties from diverse fields based on parameters like content, language, flow of presentation, critical & innovative thinking, recommendations and references.
