About the Legal Aid Clinic
The NLIU – Legal Aid Clinic (“LAC”), which is driven by the ethos of Article 39A of the Indian Constitution, has been established under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority. It is a student-run initiative, which aims to provide free legal aid to the marginalized sections of the society.
The aim is to provide pro bono legal representation and advice to the weak and downtrodden sections of the society. Additionally, they also organize various legal literacy workshops and training programs to spread legal awareness and to further the cause of legal literacy.

2nd NLIU-LAC Workshop and Training Programme: Paralegal Training and Competition, 2023 is an initiative of the NLIU-LAC. For this event, NLIU is associating with E-Nyayaganga (under the aegis of Department of Justice, Government of India). We would like to extend you a warm invitation to attend the event.

Who can Participate?
The competition shall be open for the students currently pursuing their bachelor’s degree in law i.e., 3-Year LL.B. course or 5-Year LL.B. course from any recognized university or college in Madhya Pradesh. Training sessions are open for all students and faculty members.
A maximum of two teams may participate from any college or university for the competition. More than two teams may be allowed to participate on organizers’ discretion. [The registration for both the Competition and Training Sessions is on first come, first serve basis.]

Registration Deadline
11:59 p.m., April 9 2023.
Registration Fees
There is a registration fee of Rs. 3300 per team (a team of two students) for both training sessions and competition and Rs. 1000 per student/faculty for only training sessions. The registration fee covers accommodation and meals. Please refer to the attached brochure for detailed information.
Prizes
The participants shall be provided with certificates and cash prizes upto Rs. 20,000.
