State Legal Services Authorities, in conjunction with SAMA as technology facilitator, is organising Online Lok Adalats.
Eligibility

Mediators:
-
Practicing advocates, Accredited and experienced Mediators, who can devote time and dedication to the access to justice cause.

Applicants who are fluent in Marathi or Hindi will be preferred and must possess a laptop with stable internet connection.

The 3-4 week commitment is expected for Mediators.

Case Manager:
-
All Law Students, recent graduates, practicing Advocates, who can devote time and dedication to the access to justice cause.

Applicants who are fluent in Marathi or Hindi will be preferred and must possess a laptop with stable internet connection.

The 3-4 week commitment is expected from Case Managers in November.
Note: Mediators and case manager positions will be allotted to applicants on a first-come-first-serve-basis taking their responses into consideration.
Roles and Responsibilities
Mediators and Case Managers will be required to work on matters involving loans, family disputes, Bank Matters, Motor Accident Claims, Cheque Bounce cases etc. Case Managers will be required to coordinate between Mediators and Litigants.
Please note that only those Mediators will be empaneled for this project, who have:

previously taken up Mediation/Conciliation cases, or
-
Have been practicing in Court, or
-
Are an accredited mediator.

Incentives

Top Three Mediators from these Online Lok Adalat will be rewarded with special mention in the Lok Adalat reports and will be considered for Private conciliation and Arbitration Cases.

Top Three Case Managers will also get a special mention in the Lok Adalat report and will be given an opportunity to work as a Core Team Member on a paid role.

All Case Managers and Mediators will be provided with recognition certificates at the end of this project.

Top- performing Case managers will be given a Assessment Internship opportunity at sama to consider taking up a full time role at sama.
