About the Organiser
One of the oldest law schools in India, School of Legal Studies was established in the year 1962 as a part of Kerala University offering post graduate courses and research in law. The Law School joined the folds of University of Cochin, in the year 1971, which was later reorganized and renamed as Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1986 for the promotion of graduate, post graduate studies and advanced research in various fields.
Over the decades since its inception, the Law School has blossomed in to one of the top institutions among law schools engaged in teaching and research in India.
About the Opportunity
Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a holistic scheme of development for higher education in India initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Cochin University has received various projects under the RUSA 2.0 Scheme, one of which is related to Sustainable Urbanisation and Intellectual Property.
As a part of this project, a colloquium is being organised on the larger theme of ‘Intellectual Property and Sustainable Development’. The programme is being organised in hybrid mode enabling both speakers and participant the freedom to either join online or at our campus at Cochin.

Who is it for?
Contributions are invited from bonafide students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses in any recognized university in India or abroad, research scholars, professionals, policymakers, academicians, practitioners, independent researchers, and other stakeholders.
Submission Guidelines

All contributions must be in English.

It should be original and neither published nor under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of 2 authors.

Word Limit – Abstract: Not more than 350 words; Full Paper: 5,000- 8,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).

Abstracts and full papers with a similarity percentage exceeding 15% in Urkund shall be summarily rejected.
Formatting Guidelines

Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12 (main text), 10(footnotes), Line Spacing: 1.5(main text), 1.0(footnotes), All alignments: Justified.

All contributions must use OSCOLA style of citation.
How to Submit?

Abstracts must be submitted in both .pdf and .doc/.docx formats through the link provided for the same.

The full papers of the selected abstracts must be emailed to [email protected] with subject as ‘Full Paper’ in both .pdf and .doc/.docx formats.
