About the Panel Discussion
Basic structure doctrine is said to be the reason behind the survival of the Indian Constitution and hence constitutes the building concepts of the Indian Constitution. A panel discussion will give academic insight into the national and international perspectives of the phenomenal outcome of judicial creativity.
It will help participants understand the origin and importance of checks and balances in rule of law and how the notion of basic structure restrained parliament from abusing its power of amendment and how this concept of preserving the constitutional identity is relevant in this dynamic world even after 50 years of its enunciation.
Thus, in order to provide in-depth information and understanding of the subject the Centre for Constitutional Law, DNLU is organizing this lecture to be delivered by our esteemed Panellists mentioned above.
