About the Organizers
NSS Unit of NLU Assam (NLJUJAA): The National Service Scheme is an Indian government-sponsored flagship for public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969.
National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam is a National Law University located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2009 through an Act passed by the State Legislature of Assam as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.
About the Special Lecture
On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the NSS Unit and IQAC Cell of National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam is inviting Prof. Priti Saxena, Director, Center of Post Graduate Legal Studies Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow as chief guest for a special lecture on the topic- 'Equality and Empowerment through Human Rights'.
