Provide proactive counsel and advice to all levels of the business in areas such as corporate organization, mergers and acquisitions, employment and immigration law, license agreements, complex commercial agreements, litigation management, risk management, internal investigations and distribution matters.
Collaborate with management to discern risk tolerance and identify and lead risk management and compliance activities related to one or more areas such as competition law and antitrust, complex commercial contracts, labor and employment, anti-corruption, environmental health and safety and corporate governance.
Provide legal and due diligence support on major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and alliance relationships.
Train internal clients on relevant legal issues; communicate business/region/function activities with legal implications to peers within Office of General Counsel.
Work with or lead interdisciplinary project and transaction teams, including other peers and functions within the Office of General Counsel.
Select, retain, and manage outside counsel.
Drive continuous improvement activities impacting the effectiveness and efficiency of the Office of General Counsel.
Establish strategic plans and objectives for practice area.
