Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Majority of work will involve assisting Micron’s Corporate Development Team and business units in areas of general corporate advice, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, including drafting/negotiating relevant contracts related to the foregoing.
- Collaborate with SME on data privacy, intellectual property, regulatory matters, public policy, security, finance, sales, procurement, emerging payments, and other internal and external customers to ensure transactions are consistent with corporate strategy and policies.
- Provide legal guidance related to the entire life cycle of deals, starting from planning, negotiation, execution, and post execution regulatory support both in India and across Asia.
- Draft, negotiate, and process complex licensing, purchasing, professional services, and other procurement contracts supporting Micron’s operations in India.
- As part of this role, you are expected to be familiar with a wide spectrum of legal matters, including, but not limited to, English Law, Common Law, Contracts Act, General Corporate & Project Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisition, Taxation, Competition, Governance, Corporate Secretarial and other related regulations.
- We highly value a lawyer who possesses a strong, high-level understanding of the complex legal areas and is able to provide top notch, well-tailored legal advice to the business units giving to our legal team’s success and growth.
- Assist and work with senior Micron attorneys in Singapore, other counties in Asia and the U.S. as needed to ensure compliance with Micron policies and local laws.
- You will be required to support/work closely with Micron’s business units in Asia.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor of Laws (5 years) and LLM degree from a reputable institution with excellent academic credentials.
- We are looking for an exceptional lawyer with a minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience at a premier firm in India. It is crucial that the candidate also possesses some years of experience in a multinational corporation.
- Must be a transactional lawyer and worked extensively in practice areas of general corporate advisory support, private equity, venture capital, joint venture, and mergers and acquisitions.
