Contract and Research Attorney

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Review and draft commercial contracts, including but not limited to MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, Joint Venture Agreements, vendor contracts
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Ensure consistency of contract terms with company policies and goals
• Ensure contracts comply with all federal and state regulations in United States
• Research, anticipate and protect company against legal risks
• Conduct research projects on Westlaw Research Tool
• Research new contract laws and ensure total compliance
• Attend company and departmental meetings
• Work with in-house attorneys, paralegals in contract review and drafting
• Any other duties assigned by General Counsel

Qualification & Experience

• Proven comparable law firm or in house experience (6+ years)
• Experience drafting a variety of legal documents
• Proven experience in corporate law Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school in the USA (J.D. degree) or the equivalent of education from an Indian or other country’s education system, experience with US contracts
