Give accurate and timely counsel to all business segments in variety of legal topics in relation to claims and disputes pertaining to the projects
Draft contracts (and other documents) to ensure the company’s full legal rights as per company’s checklist and obtain approval from the Management
Assists in claim preparation and court drafting; Liaises with the external law firms
Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
Negotiating, writing and executing various agreements on behalf of the company
Communicate & negotiate with external parties (external counsel, public authority etc.)
Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to stakeholders in the organization
Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legal arena
Legal research and training on new laws and regulations that may affect the business
Qualification & Experience
3 to 6 years of post-graduate experience gained in a reputable law firm or an international corporation.
Must have a law degree from a recognized university
Experience in supporting diverse contracts like EPC contracts, Sub-contract Agreements, Amendments, Extensions, NDAs, Purchase Orders, Consultancy Agreements, MOU etc.
Briefed senior counsels for matters and have hands-on experience in handling disputes before arbitration/tribunal
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Negotiating skills with both legal and commercial issues
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Apply broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education
High degree of professional ethics and integrity
Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
