Legal Counsel - Associate

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Manage corporate secretarial responsibilities for India, Hong Kong and Singapore
• Manage board meetings for the corporate entities in India, Hong Kong, Singapore including consolidation of board materials and board minutes
• Manage the process for Directors KYC to be confirmed and updated regularly
• Respond to corporate entity KYC requests from business
• Review vendor contracts
• Review and advise on functions that may be set up within corporate entities in accordance with regulatory permissions
• Create and maintain accurate departmental records and other supporting materials
• Participate in global and/or regional Legal & Compliance calls, initiatives and projects
• Work with colleagues from other BlackRock offices to ensure global best practice and consistency
• Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives

Qualification & Experience

• A law degree from a nationally recognized law school with at least 5 years of experience in corporate or a law firm
• Experience in handling corporate secretarial responsibilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
