Manage all litigation processes initiated by the company against clients and vice-versa e.g. Consumer, Criminal, Civil, Section 138 – Cheque bounce, Section 9 – arbitration/reconciliation, winding up petition, appeals etc. for the respective location up-to the level of Supreme Court
Liaise with Zonal Legal heads and Branch Heads on a regular basis to ensure coverage and compliances of all existing and potential legal issues which could impact efficient operations
Liaise with advocates on a regular basis to communicate the company’s position, facilitate provision of all required information and update status of ongoing litigations to the Zonal Legal Head
Ensure compliance of processes and procedures to applicable statutory requirements framed under legislation and enactments for the location assigned
Ensure all required compliance related documents for the assigned location are maintained for audit purposes
To keep track of ever changing law settled by Supreme Court from time to time and advice so that business is aligned accordingly
Suggest ways and means so that litigations are kept at minimum level and cost effective
Experience
3 yrs (Candidates having previously worked in NBFCs will be preferred)
The candidate needs to be fluent (read, write and speak) in Kannad (mandatory)
