Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2022

Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2022 is a fellowship programme offered by the Azim Premji Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in 2001 by Azim Premji, an Indian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. This fellowship programme is for undergraduate, postgraduate degree holders and working professionals from various fields who are looking to contribute to social change.

Initially, the fellows will work in a government school of rural areas for at least 120 days to explore the nuances of the public education system. They will engage and interact with the students, teachers, community and education departments.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this fellowship programme, an applicant (fellows) must 

  • be not more than 35 years of age

  • have a minimum of 4 to 10 years of work experience

  • have a degree in any discipline

  • be proficient in English and any one of the local languages i.e. Hindi, Kannada

  • be ready to be posted in the districts the foundation works in

 

Benefits

The selected applicants will be awarded INR 37,000 per month in which statutory deductions and taxes will be applicable and will be covered under various insurances like Health, Life, and Accident Insurance. Also, the selected candidates will receive allowances such as Relocation and Housing Deposit Assistance. The candidates will get an experience of real India, with in-depth learning about education and an opportunity to contribute to a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society.

 

Preferred Locations

While applying, the fellows can select their preferred locations which are given below:

  • Chhattisgarh

  • Madhya Pradesh

  • Rajasthan

  • Uttarakhand

  • Karnataka

 

Important Dates

  • The last date of the application is 29th October 2021

  • The fellowship programme will commence from March 2022 and the duration of the fellowship programme will be 1 year. 

 

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply for the Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2022 by using the below-mentioned steps:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the Azim Premji Foundation i.e. https://azimpremjifoundation.org/.  

  • Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Career” tab and then again click on “Fellowship”.

  • Step 3: After clicking on “Fellowship”, you are redirected to the Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2022 page.

  • Step 4: Once the fellowship page opens then you are required to click on the “Apply here” button.

  • Step 5: Now, you are required to fill in all the required details like - personal details, correspondence address, permanent address, educational qualification, employment history, years of experience, languages known, references, etc. 

  • Step 6: After filling in all the required details, you are required to upload the CV. 

  • Step 7: Finally, Click on the “Submit” button. 

Important Information: The size of the CV must be < 2 MB. 


Selection Process

The selection process for Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2022 is divided into 5 stages. They are as follows:

Online application: The candidates will have to submit the online form with all the required details. After submitting the form successfully, the candidate will get their login credentials on their personal mail id. 

Screening: Once the application is accepted then the candidates will be called for the screening process where they will be invited to appear for the written test. If the application is not shortlisted then the candidate will receive the notice of not selection on their email. 

Written test: The shortlisted candidates will receive an admit card via email for the written test. Here the candidate will have to appear for the test and once they clear this test then they will be asked to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP). 

Presentation & interview: The candidates who clear the written tests and whose SOP are accepted will be called for a personal interview. They will have to give a 10-15 mins presentation on a social issue that concerns them the most.

Announcement of results and final offer: A final shortlist will be released within 15 days of the interview. On successful completion of the process, selected candidates will receive an offer letter through email and a hard copy at the time of joining.
