About Pravin Gandhi College of Law
The SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law (PGCL) was established in the year 2004 and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. PGCL aims at giving students exposure to experiential learning in the varied fields of law and in this regard, has conducted and hosted various workshops, seminars, and competitions.

General Details
Features of the Training Program
PCGT has successfully organized two editions of the annual one-day RTI & RTS Training Program in February 2020 (offline) and March 2021 (online). This training program on RTI/RTS is one of its kind because:

Participants will receive holistic training – not just about the importance of RTI/RTS but also the governance and constitutional background along with recent amendments and the DOs and DON’Ts of filing an application.

Certificates shall be awarded to the participants who file at-least one RTI Application after the Training.

The training will be provided by persons who are highly experienced in the working and implementation of RTI and RTS.
Itinerary
The detailed itinerary is given below:
9:15 – 9:30 AM: Login Time for Participants
9:30 – 9:50 AM: Opening Remarks
10 – 11:30 AM: Demystifying Governance
12 – 1 PM: Right to Information: Constitutional Perspective
1:30 – 3 PM: RTS with special emphasis on the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015
3:30 – 5 PM: RTI with an emphasis on Recent Amendment and Drafting of RTI Applications
5 – 5:10 PM: Concluding Remarks
5:10 – 5:15 PM: Vote of thanks
