About the Event
The three days workshop aims to give the students comprehensive knowledge about the nuances of Arbitration, Mediation and Client Counselling competitions and how to ace in these competitions. Day one of the workshop will focus exclusively on the process of Arbitration, including Arbitration Competition through theoretical explanation and hands-on training.
On the second day of the event, the focus is on Mediation and in getting to know about various national and international Mediation Competitions. The third day of the workshop shall cover the tricks and hacks for acing Client Counselling competitions. The workshop shall also cover the Online Dispute Resolution processes, including how the law students can make a career in ODR.
Eligibility
The event shall be beneficial for undergraduate and postgraduate law students, who wish to participate in Arbitration, Mediation & Clent Counselling competitions.
About the Speaker
Akash is working as a LECTURER IN JINDAL GLOBAL LAW SCHOOL where he teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) courses. In Spring 2020, Akash co-headed the organising committee for the 24th Annual Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition, 2020 – India National Rounds and 10th Indian Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot, 2020 organised by Jindal Global Law School.
He completed LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University and graduated from Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli. During the LL.M. programme, he participated in the Vis Moot and emerged as the Top 16 out of 372 teams from all over the world and received Honourable Mention for the Best Memorandum for Claimant. He graduated from Tamil Nadu National Law University,
Tiruchirappalli in 2018. During B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme, he represented the University at national and international moots. He was awarded the Colin J. Wall Spirit of the Moot Award at 13th Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong. Out of approximately 1000 students, he was awarded the 1st Ram Jethmalani Academic Excellence Awards 2018 for Students in the Moot Category.
Also, he serves as the Assistant Editor for Indian Review of International Arbitration (MNLU), Peer Review Board Member for Indian Arbitration Law Review (NLIU) and Faculty Advisor for Mapping ADR (blog) run by students at Jindal Global Law School. In addition to academia, he has been appointed as a Sole Arbitrator in 10 disputes and Sole Conciliator in 250 disputes.

Fee Details
The registration fee shall be Rs. 1000- per participant.
