4th Surana & Surana and KLE Law College National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition

KLE Law College along with Surana & Surana International Attorneys are hosting the 4th National Constitutional Law Moot Court from June 3 to 5, 2022.

 

About K.L.E. Society’s Law College, Bengaluru

K.L.E. Society’s Law College, Bengaluru was established in 1975 under the umbrella of Karnataka Lingayat Education Society and has been conceived as a nursery and training ground for those seeking to enter the legal profession.

It is recognized by the Bar Council of India and is affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. KLE Society’s Law College Bengaluru is ranked as one of the top law colleges across the country by the leading national media houses.

 

About the Moot Court Competition

The Surana & Surana and KLE Law College National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning the development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in Constitutional Law besides developing cutting edge skills in research, writing and advocacy.

The past three editions of the moot has witnessed a diverse and fierce participation from the various prestigious institutions of the country.

 

Eligibility

The competition is open for students who are studying three year or five-year law course during the current academic year.

 

Team Composition

Each team should consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.

 

Registration

The teams must register online by May 18, 2022.

Teams will have to register online at the link given here.

No temporary registration requests will be entertained. Kindly refrain from sending such requests to Surana & Surana or the host KLE Society Law College.

Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive an approval as acceptance of their request for participation latest by May 19, 2022 8:00 PM or earlier.

A scanned copy of the letter from the participating college/ institution / university duly signed by any one of the following, confirming the names of the participants, Year / semester in which studying, representing the college/ institution / university for the moot competition will have to be attached during the online registration process.

  • Faculty-in-charge of MCS/MCA,

  • Registrar,

  • Principal,

  • Dean,

  • Director,

  • Chancellor or

  • Vice-Chancellor

 

Registration Fee

  • The registration fees of INR 2500 to be paid online by May 22, 2022 to the following UPI id: 4683671080600@cnrb.

  • Registration particulars and receipt of payment should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] marked as “The SURANA & SURANA & KLE LAW COLLEGE NATIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION REGISTRATION” as the subject of the mail latest by May 22, 2022.

Awards

  • Winner – INR 20,000

  • Runner up – INR 10,000

  • Best Memorial

  • Best Student Advocate

  • All participants will be issued participation certificates. 

 

Important dates

  • Last date for Online Registration: May 18, 2022

  • Last date for receiving copies of Reg. Form/Approval letter by KLE: May 20, 2022

  • Last Date for Submission of Memorials (both applicant and respondent) Soft Copy by email with temporary team code: May 28, 2022

  • Submission of Memorials During Orientation with competition team code (soft copy): June 03, 2022

  • Orientation / Draw of Lots/ Exchange of Memorial for Prelims: June 03, 2022

  • Prelims I & II / Octo / Quarters : June 04, 2022

  • Semifinal, Finals and Valedictory: June 05, 2022

 

Mode

The competition will be conducted in Online mode via Google meet platform.
