About the Opportunity
The DPIIT-IPR Chair at Osmania University, is organizing a Know Your IP series of Weekly Lectures/ Interactions/ Interviews with the primary objective of dissemination of knowledge on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). It will offer insights and inputs on various forms of IPRs relevant to all the stakeholders, by demystifying the fundamentals of IP and highlighting the recent developments in the Intellectual Property (IP) domain.
The Know Your IP Week-23 of the Online Lecture Series is on the topic Contemporary Developments in Trademark Registration to be presented by Dr. Sunanda Bharti, Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, Delhi University.
About the Resource Person
Dr. Sunanda Bharti is having rich experience of teaching at Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi for the past 17 plus years. She has taught Jurisprudence, Intellectual Property Rights, Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation, Moot Court, Mock Trial and Internship, Taxation laws, Election Laws, Negotiable Instruments, Banking and Insurance.
She is the Co-PI responsible for leading the Team in ‘RISHII’–Resources for Internationalization of Higher Educational Institutions in India, an International Project under the Erasmus+ Programme funded by the European Commission—in collaboration with the University of Duesto, Bilbao Spain and the Tuning Academy. The project gels completely with the National Education Policy.
Dr. Bharti received a global recognition in the form of the Lex Falcon Award 2021 (Top 100 Legal Falcons) by LexTalk World, for making impactful contribution to IP law, and simplifying the subject through her writings.
She has contributed Articles to several National and International Journals. Some of her on-line published works can be accessed from the blogs: Unlearning Law, Blaze New Trails, WILL-Why I Love Law and a few posts on spicyip.com (one of the best international research blogs on IP).
