About the Organiser
Hamdard Institute of Legal Studies and Research (HILSR), was established in 2018 by the approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI). HILSR offers BA, LL.B, a five-year integrated degree course.
About the Speaker
Abdul Matin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He was previously a DAAD Fellow at the Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS), University of Gottingen, Germany. His doctoral research at the Centre for Political Studies, Jawarhalal Nehru University, New Delhi deals with the questions of political mobilisation of Muslims and contemporary Muslim identity. He has also extensively published on these issues.
