The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level law entrance exam for admission to 22 national law universities and more than 70 affiliated colleges. The exam is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) in offline, pen and paper format. Candidates who pass the examination will be eligible for admission to 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes offered by the participating national law universities.

CLAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
CLAT 2023 Eligibility criteria enable the candidates with 45% marks in the qualifying exam to appear for the national level exam. Also, 5% relaxation in qualifying marks i.e. 40% marks are required to apply for the exam if a candidate belongs to the reserved category.

There is no age limit to apply or appear for CLAT.

NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals can also apply or appear for CLAT.

CLAT 2023 Exam Pattern

Based on CLAT 2023 Exam Pattern, for each question, there will be 1 mark for marking the correct answer.

As a negative marking, 0.25 will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The duration of the CLAT Exam will be 2 hours.
