The Exam for Goa Judicial Services is conducted by a Goa state judicial branch to recruit qualified candidates for the posts of Civil Judge, Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class. Civil Judge, Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class are Grade III Judicial Officers who decide the civil matter and criminal matter respectively.
These exams focus on Indian legal and constitutional governance and history, current developments of national and international interest, and the analytical aptitude and skills of the candidate.

Goa Judicial Service Exam Eligibility Criteria 2021:

thirty-five years in the case of Advocates with three years of practice

Syllabus for Viva-Voce
There is no specified syllabus for Viva-Voce but the interview is intended to supplement the written examination for testing the general and specialised knowledge in law & other subjects as well as the abilities to solve the problem during the course of work.
The Board will pay special attention to assess:

intellectual curiosity,

critical powers of assimilation,
-
balance of judgment and alertness of mind,
-
the ability for social cohesion,
-
the integrity of character initiative and
-
capacity for leadership.

The candidate will be expected to have taken an intelligent interest not only in his/her subjects of law but also in events that are happening around him/her both within and outside his/her own State/Country.
They must have knowledge in the field of Current Affairs, New Discoveries & Inventions also. The technique of the interview is not that of a strict cross-examination, but of a natural, though directed and purposive conversation intended to reveal the candidate’s mental qualities and his/her grasp of problems.
