RJS stands for Rajasthan Judicial Service. Rajasthan High Court conducts Rajasthan Judicial Service Competitive Examination annually to recruit suitable candidates for the legal positions/vacancies of Civil Judge. RJS exam is mainly held in 3 phases - Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview round. This examination is conducted in English as well as in the Hindi language. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of mains and interview marks secured by them.

Rajasthan Judicial Service 2024 Exam Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the candidates appearing for Rajasthan Judicial Service Examination is given below:

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

The minimum age criteria for candidates is 23 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years.

There is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

A candidate must hold a Bachelor of Laws (Professional) degree from a Law University.

Details of the Interview Round
The candidates who qualify for the main examination are invited for the Interview. The interview amounts to 35 marks. A typical interview involves questions based on various aspects such as personal and academic background; current affairs, general knowledge; and legal knowledge. Marks are also awarded to a candidate based on his/her proficiency in the Rajasthani dialect and his knowledge of Rajasthani social customs. The interview also takes measures to find the best fitment for the candidate with reference to their record at the College/University level, and his overall personality and demeanour.

The cut-off for Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam is determined based on several factors such as:
Preliminary Examination Cut-off
The number of candidates that qualify for the Main examination is 15 times the total number of vacancies (category-wise). Therefore, the total number of candidates qualifying for the Main examination in the year 2021 is 1335 (89 X 15) candidates minimum. This number can go higher if multiple candidates secure the same marks on the last cut-off.
