Assistant General Manager, Legal

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 3 legal professionals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical, clinical trial, biologics, and data privacy laws.
• Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Litigation Management: Oversee litigation matters, liaise with external counsel, and safeguard company interests.
• Advisory Services: Provide legal advice on governance, risk management, and strategic decisions.
• Cross?functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to support initiatives.

Qualification & Experience 

• LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
• 12–18 years of legal experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of Indian pharmaceutical regulations & clinical trial laws.
• Proven experience in litigation management, legal advisory service and complex commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
