Senior Associate – Corporate Commercial Team

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and transaction documents
• Lead due diligence exercises and manage end-to-end transactional workflows (M&A, PE/VC investments, joint ventures)
• Advise clients on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and transaction structuring
• Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact on matters
• Supervise and mentor associates
• Coordinate with external advisors, regulators, and counterparties

Qualification & Experience

• LLB/LLM from a reputed institution with a minimum of 6 years PQE, preferably in a law firm.
• Experience and knowledge in handling queries and routine matters pertaining to the Companies Act 2013, FEMA, SEBI and NBFCs for corporate clients from diverse industries.
• Ability to independently handle matters and manage teams
• Strong and clear understanding of Indian law and practices, especially Companies’ Act, Indian Contract Act, and the relevant rules and regulations
• Ability to independently handle matters and manage teams
• Strong experience in transactional work and contract negotiation
• Ability to independently handle matters and manage teams
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Experience in data protection and privacy laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, global data protection frameworks (such as GDPR), and sector-specific regulations will be an added advantage.
