The Litigation Associate will handle end-to-end management of litigation matters, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, written submissions, motions, and related documentation. The role involves conducting comprehensive legal research on statutes, case law, and regulatory developments to support case strategy and client advice.
The associate will assist in preparing for and attending hearings across various courts and tribunals, coordinating with counsel, and managing case timelines and filings.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include supporting depositions and witness preparation, liaising with clients and internal teams, maintaining accurate matter records, and contributing to strategy discussions on complex, high-value disputes.
Qualification & Experience
Strong foundation in substantive and procedural law, with experience in litigation and dispute resolution across relevant practice areas.
Proficiency in legal research, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and use of online legal databases.
Demonstrated ability to draft and respond to motions, pleadings, written statements, and other court submissions with clarity and precision.
Experience with courts and tribunals, including court procedures, cause list management, filing processes, and hearing preparation.
Exposure to depositions or witness conferences, including preparation of questionnaires, evidence review, and coordination with counsel and clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.), with a strong academic record; LL.M. or specialized litigation training is an advantage.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple matters and deadlines, and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
