Junior Legal Counsel

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including NDAs, SaaS/Software Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Partner Agreements, and DPAs.
• Provide practical legal support and risk-based advice to business and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct legal research and assist with regulatory, compliance, and commercial legal matters.
• Support data privacy and compliance initiatives, including GDPR-related requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and contractual risks.
• Maintain contract templates, legal documentation, and contract repositories.
• Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, processes, and playbooks.
• Utilize legal technology and AI tools to improve legal operations and efficiency.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as required.
• Support legal operations and business activities during US time zone hours.

Qualification & Experience

• At least LL.B. from a recognized university.
• 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or supporting technology, software, SaaS, or commercial clients.
• AI and Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and use legal technology, AI tools, and business applications.
• Working knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
