Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Draft contracts, leases, model contract clauses, letters, notices, powers of attorney, petitions, queries, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• Review amendments to contracts and correspondences with external parties and identify potential legal risks.
• Attend court proceedings and interact with witnesses.
• Coordinate with and manage advocates, including briefing them on case-specific requirements.
• Monitor legal compliances at project sites and the corporate office.
• Verify compliance requirements applicable to subcontractors and vendors.
• Schedule compliance checks and audits and maintain compliance checklists.
• Stay updated on changes in industry-specific laws, labour laws, and other relevant regulations.
• MIS and Reporting
• Resolve issues relating to the legal function and ensure timely reporting.
• Ensure that project-related legal information is properly documented, secured, and reported.
• Establish communication schedules for updating stakeholders, including senior management, on project progress.
• Maintain litigation status records in MIS.
• Maintain records of legal queries, notices, and related correspondence.
