Legal Associate

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analyse applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist in resolving legal issues arising in day-to-day operations.
• Prepare and maintain legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legal requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and HR.
• Help manage legal risk and support regulatory filings where required.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of standard legal templates and internal legal processes.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent).
• LL.M. or specialized legal training in corporate or commercial law will be an advantage.
• 1–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Prior experience in e-commerce, technology, or FMCG sectors will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal principles and the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and organising contracts, notices, and internal policies.
• Strong analytical skills to assess legal risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and address legal issues arising from commercial, corporate, and operational activities.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational abilities, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
