Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Support adherence to RBI guidelines applicable to NBFCs and Lending Service Providers (LSPs), including Fair Practices Code and disclosure norms.
- Track, review, and summarise RBI circulars relevant to lending, outsourcing, customer communication, and data privacy.
- Assist in RBI inspections, statutory audits, and internal compliance reviews.
- Coordinate responses for RBI CMS complaints and escalated regulatory grievances, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Support the grievance redressal framework in line with regulatory norms.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements (NDAs, MSAs, etc.) with third-party vendors, SaaS partners, API integrations, payment gateways, and credit bureaus.
- Draft and maintain customer-facing documents including loan agreements, terms & conditions, and grievance policies.
- Review NBFC–LSP agreements and ensure clear delineation of roles, data protection obligations, and regulatory liability boundaries.
- Maintain and organise a contract repository with renewal and compliance tracking.
- Review app store listings, descriptions, and data permissions for compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store policies.
- Coordinate with product and tech teams during policy reviews or platform escalations.
- Align product flows and customer journeys with applicable regulatory expectations.
Qualification & Experience
- LLB (LLM preferred) with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, fintech/compliance, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of RBI regulations, NBFC/LSP framework, and data privacy laws (IT Act, DPDP Act).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Smooth coordination between legal, product, and ops teams on compliance-sensitive initiatives.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented approach to work.
