Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across corporate functions, project sites, and operational units in accordance with applicable central, state, and sector-specific laws.
- Oversee compliance reporting through the compliance management system and ensure that designated users across locations complete compliance filings accurately and within prescribed timelines.
- Monitor compliance dashboards, track pending actions, and follow up with responsible departments or site teams to ensure timely closure of compliance obligations.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and resolve queries relating to interpretation or applicability of statutory provisions.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews across corporate departments and project sites to assess implementation status and identify potential risks or gaps.
- Prepare and submit compliance review reports to management highlighting key compliance risks, gaps, and recommended corrective actions.
- Assess the applicability of new laws, regulations, and regulatory updates relevant to the power transmission sector, including those related to electricity regulations, land acquisition, environmental approvals, and project development.
- Review compliance implications arising from new projects, transmission line construction, substations, expansions, or operational changes.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Legal, Project Development, Engineering, Finance, HR, EHS, and Procurement to ensure timely implementation of applicable compliance requirements.
- Track amendments in central and state laws relevant to infrastructure and power transmission operations and communicate regulatory updates and their impact to management and relevant teams.
- Support statutory inspections, regulatory filings, and interactions with government authorities, regulators, and auditors as required.
- Assist in internal and external compliance audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance documentation, records, and reporting frameworks at the corporate level.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, or a related discipline (LLB preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate compliance, regulatory compliance, or legal/compliance roles within infrastructure, power, energy, or related sectors.

- Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory compliance frameworks in India
- Ability to interpret laws and assess regulatory applicability across projects and locations
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across departments and sites
- Attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage compliance monitoring at a corporate level
