About the Internship

• Karan Gupta Law Chambers is inviting applications for internships at its Bangalore office for September 2026 onwards. The internship is designed for law students interested in disputes and litigation work and offers exposure to research and drafting in dispute-related matters. Interns may also be involved in meetings and are encouraged to take ownership of matters.

Eligibility

• Candidates must be currently studying law from a recognised university in either a 3-year or 5-year law course
• Candidates must be in the penultimate or final year of their degree
• Prior internship experience in disputes or litigation is required

Nature of Work

• Research and drafting for various dispute-related matters
• Participation in meetings
• Taking ownership of assigned matters

Stipend

• INR 6,000 per month for students residing in Bangalore
• INR 6,000 as stipend plus INR 6,000 towards expenses for students presently residing outside Bangalore

Duration

• The available internship slots are:
• 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2026
• 1 October 2026 to 31 October 2026
• 1 November 2026 to 30 November 2026

Mode

• The internship is based at the Bangalore office. No part-time or online internship applications will be entertained.

Application Requirements

• Applicants are required to submit the following:
• CV not exceeding three pages
• A statement of interest not exceeding 300 words on motivation to practice in disputes or as a litigating lawyer
• Any one of the following:
• A published writing sample post January 2024, or
• An analytical note of 800–1,200 words on a listed judgment or legal topic

• Incomplete applications will not be entertained and no response will be issued
• Decisions on applications can be expected by:
• 5 August 2026 for the September 2026 slot
• 5 September 2026 for the October 2026 slot
• 5 October 2026 for the November 2026 slot
