ResponsibilitiesExperience in carrying out Project Development activities for greenfield development of Renewable Energy projects.Possess hands-on experience in Land Acquisition related activities such as carrying out Land Due Diligences (TSR), site feasibility studies, understanding on the Land due diligence process, familiarity with land acquisition policy framework including land-ceiling acts, conversion to non-agricultural use, forest land approval process etc.Coordination with Internal/External legal firms for issuance of Title search reports for project lands, RoW lands (33KV, EHV, Pathway etc.).Experience in managing various types of Permits, Licenses and Approvals (PLAs) required for setting up, construction and commissioning of a Renewable energy project, preparing AutoCAD maps using village maps and google earth mapping of village maps.Procuring and negotiating lease agreements, development agreements and purchase agreements.Manage the advancement of development activities for both existing and new [solar/wind/renewable energy] projects in India. This involves day to day management of all development activities, whether supported by internal functions or external consultants, including managing the project milestone schedule, identification of critical path, allocation of tasks to relevant parties, optimization of the plan on a regular basis, securing any and all project rights and permits, achievement of development milestones, resourcing and budget planning.Meet and liaise with local developers, service providers (such as due diligence consultants), relevant authorities, and other stakeholders both on specific potential projects and in ordinary course of business to maintain relationships.Support the project team during the construction phase of the project on all development related activities.Proactively identifies and manages potential risks of the project.Coordinating with Safety team on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and implementation of ESMP.Coordination with CSR team for the implementation of scheduled CSR activities at siteDevelop and leverage a network of professional relationships with local developers, relevant regulatory agencies and industry participants.Support the translation of communications (emails, presentations, documents etc) and general facilitation of communication with local market participants.Arrange and manage regular reporting activities for internal progress management purposes as well as updating Blueleaf Energy leadership on the ongoing development activities and expected timing of reaching key development milestones.Qualification & Experience Degree or post graduate qualifications in Law.Established and hands-on 5 to 7 years of professional experience with key focus on energy project development, preferably in solar, onshore wind or other renewable energy.Strong network with local developers in India.Ability to “knock on doors”, originate and source projects as well as transactions for assessment.Good project management skills including ability to plan work, work to the plan, manage risks and issues and drive outcomes in the face of tight timeframes and external pressures.Ability to manage technical and regulatory discussions with appropriate engineering and legal experts and government agencies as well as managing input requirements from internal support functions such as engineering, procurement, legal and finance.Proactive, self-motivated and ambitious personality.Ability to work autonomously / independently to identify new project opportunities and develop existing opportunities.Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.Excellent written and conversational English as well as ability to communicate with key stakeholders in Hindi.Ability to prepare and read English language contracts and documents and prepare presentations to a high standard.Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Earth and AutoCAD skills.Willingness to travel extensively within India as and when required.
