    Responsibilities This role will be accountable for successfully leading and managing a team of lawyers/paralegal driving efficiency and quality in relation to providing contracting support to the business and legal clients globally. Provides strategic thinking that allows the team to deliver fast, reliable and consistent contracting support for the organization and is forward-looking and continuously adapting to evolving business needs and regulatory landscape. Support the LCN Asia Lead in anticipating and proactively preventing and managing of legal risks facing the company with respect to contracts. Ensure the team of qualified Asian Lawyers/Paralegal are fully trained to properly advise on contracting matters on a global basis. As part of managing a team of lawyers based in Asia, this role will support the LCN Asia Team Lead in ensuring service continuity for the business through shift hours operating model. Familiarity with global privacy law and GDPR. Provide training to the business staff on emerging legal developments as well as improving capability of staff in the business (i.e. Effective Contracting) Manage/Interact with outside counsel as appropriate on discreet issues. Accountable for providing quality contracting support autonomously to the business. This includes providing analysis, drafting and counsel on transactions and contractual advisory/potential disputes, including any related legal, policy, regulatory and compliance issues—integrating legal knowledge with sound business understanding and IT systems supporting contracting process. The role will work on matters of higher complexity with support/ collaboration with other relevant SMEs/ colleagues. Negotiate and draft other legal documents. Conduct research on various legal issues. Perform or support due diligence on proposed transactions. Review and interpret new or pending legislation and regulations impacting contracting to ensure compliance and share knowledge with the rest of the team. Being aware of departmental guidance on best practices, processes, templates, clauses and playbooks. Understands legal and financial risks and implications of contracts. Communicates directly with business clients and participate in general business meetings, teams and projects as required to provide timely, effective legal advice.     Qualification & Experience Qualified lawyer with minimum 11 years’ experience in a law firm and/or in-house, including relevant experience in commercial contracting preferred. Willingness to work flexible hours as this position supports global business in different geographies.
