********************* THIS EVENT FOR THE YEAR 2021 HAS ENDED ********************* Administration The Competition is organised by the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford. There shall be a permanent administrative body, called the Price Moot Court Administration (PA). The administrators comprising the PA shall be responsible for all administrative matters concerning the Competition and shall supply and distribute all necessary information to the participating teams. Timeline The 2021 International Rounds of the 14th Annual Price Media Law Moot Court Competition will be held online due to Covid-19 globally from 12 - 16 April 2021. Students currently enrolled in or who have completed a research degree are not eligible to participate. Graduate or undergraduate students who are not enrolled in a Law degree but who are pursuing some other course of study in Law may be eligible to participate at the discretion of the PA. A previous participant is eligible to participate in the Competition as a representative for the university for which they previously participated, or a university in which they are newly enrolled provided that they meet all other requirements of this rule. Previous participation as a Memorial or Oral Round Judge, in any Regional Round or the International Rounds of the Competition, disqualifies an individual from eligibility to participate as a member of a team. These requirements do not apply to coaches of the teams. Appointing and Selecting Team Members An institution cannot register more than one (1) team and all team members must be from the same institution unless a specific exemption from this requirement has been granted by the PA. Students interested in participating in the Competition must first contact the concerned authorities in their respective institutions and receive the requisite authorization to represent the institution in the Competition. In educational systems where a university has constituent colleges, each college can register a team or the university as such can be represented by a team comprising students from different constituent colleges. Teams located in countries where there are applicable Regional Rounds of the Competition may only register for the International Rounds of the Competition if they have successfully qualified for the International Rounds in accordance with the rules of qualification in the Regional Rounds in question. Number of Team Members Teams are expected to comprise no less than two (2) members and must have no more than six (6) members. No other person, including the coach, may assist the team with researching, writing, editing or otherwise constructing its arguments. Failure to observe this rule may result in penalisation or disqualification by the PA. Team Coaches and Observers Each team is permitted only one (1) coach who must be registered in addition to the team members. Coaches are limited to providing general advice on applicable law, research methods and oral and written advocacy. The participation of observers or any other team affiliate must be communicated to the PA before the Competition and approval. During the Competition, for the avoidance of doubt, those participants must be clearly marked as such. Failure to comply with this rule may result in the team being sanctioned. Qualification Process for International Rounds In order to qualify for the International Rounds, teams must compete from their respective region, where regional rounds are functioning. Teams are prohibited from competing in any other region unless they have extenuating circumstances that are confirmed by prior written permission from the members of the PA. Where teams do not fall within any region that hosts Regional Rounds, the PA reserves the right to directly qualify such teams to the International Rounds based on the quality of their memorials. Registration A registration form prescribed by the PA including the participants’ names, their current academic programme(s), the name of the coach, university, and other contact information for all team members must be submitted to the PA. At the time of registration, teams shall select an official point of contact from the participating team who will be responsible for all official correspondence between the team and the PA. In the case of any change of registered information, the team is obliged immediately to communicate changes with the PA. After registration, participating teams will be provided with a Team Number, which will serve as their unique identifier both for Memorials and at the Oral Rounds. Teams qualifying for International Rounds from Regional Rounds will have the same Team Numbers as assigned for Regional Rounds. Competition Scoring and Prize The following prizes will be awarded in two categories: ‘Winner’ and ‘Runner-up’, except for the Best Oralist - Finals. Best Memorials The team with the highest aggregate Memorial points will win the prize for the Best Memorials. Best Individual Oralist The participant with the highest average score at the conclusion of the Preliminary Rounds will be adjudged the Best Individual Oralist. The average score will be calculated by dividing the total number of points of each speaker by the number of times the speaker has presented oral arguments. In the case of four (4) Preliminary Rounds in the Competition participants have to present oral arguments a minimum of two (2) times to be eligible for this prize. Best Oralist - Finals There will be an award for the Best Oralist in the finals. This prize will be decided by the Finals bench. There shall be no Runner-up prize in this category. International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition

The International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition or ICCMCC is an annual international moot court competition on international criminal law that is held at The Hague and organised by the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of Leiden University, The Hague Campus, with the institutional support of the International Criminal Court and International Bar Association. Pace Law School had conceived of the moot as an in-class exercise in 2004, and it was in 2005 that a domestic competition was started. The competition became international the following year, with the finals being held in 2007. With more than 100 teams from 50 countries taking part annually, the ICCMCC is the world's largest competition on international criminal law and is considered one of the grand slam or major moots. Aim of the Competition The Competition aims to encourage university students to improve their knowledge of international criminal law in practice and in particular of the ICC, its mandate and its jurisprudence, by simulating ICC proceedings through arguing a hypothetical case. The Competition seeks to enhance knowledge about the Rome Statute, especially within countries that have yet to ratify it. In addition, the Competition provides participants with the opportunity to become familiar with The Hague based international institutions. Participation All educational institutions offering a degree, or similar graduate or postgraduate qualification or training, in law or in a field related to international law, or in international relations, are eligible to participate in the Competition. Each institution may enter one team, regardless of the number of colleges, departments, faculties, or schools within that institution, and the team may include students from one or more of its colleges, departments, faculties, or schools Each country and the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau may be represented by a maximum of 5 teams, regardless of how many teams from the same country register. In case more than 5 teams register from the same country, the teams will have to participate in a Qualifying Round in order to determine the 5 teams that will participate in the International Round of the Competition. Team Composition Each team will be comprised of three (3) speakers. Additionally, the team may include two (2) researchers and two (2) coaches: one Leading Coach and one Assistant Coach. The amount of team representatives may never exceed seven (7) at any moment in the Competition. Team Member Eligibility Only actively enrolled students in Bachelor, Master or Juris Doctor Programs are eligible to participate. Exchange students may participate on behalf of their host university. Non-law students may be considered eligible, provided that they have the requisite legal knowledge. It is each team’s responsibility to ensure that its team members have a level of legal knowledge suitable for the Competition. Students admitted to practice, including by having taken and passed the bar exam, are prohibited to participate. These restrictions shall not apply to the leading and assistant coaches. Team Registration Teams must create an account and submit their registration form here. Each team needs to submit the names of at least three (3) members in order for the registration to be considered complete. Registration forms may be amended at any time. Submitted registration forms can only be amended with prior approval from the Organization. A confirmation of participation will be sent to the teams that advance straight to the International Round on 19 November 2021 @ 6pm CEST. Participation Fee The registration fee for participation in the International Rounds, is based on the World Bank List of Economies (FY 2021-2022). The registration fee for the 2022 edition will be published on 1 October. The registration fee covers the participation of seven (7) team members. The Organization will issue an invoice for payment of the registration fee to eligible teams in January 2022. The invoice will be sent via email to the contact person listed on the registration form. Each team must pay their registration fee within thirty (30) days of receiving the invoice. Incomplete payment of the registration fee renders that particular registration application invalid. D.M. Harish Memorial Government Law College International Moot Court Competition

The college, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, is run by the Government of Maharashtra. Pratibha Patil, former President of India, and five Chief Justices of India, as well as several judges of the Supreme Court of India, are alumni of the college. About the Moot The Moot Court Association is pleased to announce the 22nd edition of the D. M. Harish Memorial Government Law College International Online Moot Court Competition (DMH), hosted by Government Law College, Mumbai, India, in association with the D. M. Harish Foundation. This edition will be conducted on an online platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition will be held from 27th – 28th March 2021. DMH is India’s first International Moot Court Competition. It started in the year 2000 as a National Moot Court Competition and has been open to international entrants for the past fifteen years. It has seen the keen participation of a number of teams from across all continents. The Compromis of the Competition deals primarily with issues relating to Public International Law, highlighting the emerging legal landscape and has been drafted by experts in the field. The participants are made to go through extensive Mooting Rounds, to ensure that only the two best Teams reach the Final Round of Arguments. Competition Rounds The competition shall be held over a period of three days and will comprise two (2) Preliminary Rounds, one (1) Octo-Final Round*, (1) Quarter-Final Round, one (1) Semi-Final Round and one (1) Final Round of Arguments. Awards An e-certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 36,000/- for the Best Team and an e- certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 27,000/- for the 2nd Best Team. An e-certificate and a cash prize of Rs 15,000/- for the Best Memorial and an e-certificate and cash prize of Rs. 12,000/- for the Runner-up Memorial. An e-certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 14,000/- for the Best Speaker, an e-certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- for the 2nd Best Speaker and an e-certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 14,000/- for the Best Speaker in the Final Round of Arguments. The Best Speaker and Runner up Speaker Awards will be determined by the Total Scores in the Preliminary Rounds of the Competition by adding the four (4) judges' scores from two (2) Preliminary Rounds. The total score from those two (2) Rounds shall be averaged to determine the Speaker's ranking, whereas the Best Speaker in the Final Round of Arguments will be determined on the basis of the Individual speaker scores in the Final Round of Arguments. National Law University Odisha & Bose & Mitra & Co. International Maritime Arbitration Moot

About NLUO IMAM The Moot Society is the official body of NLUO which oversees mooting activities in the university. The society’s flagship event – International Maritime Arbitration Moot is organised in the month of March annually. We, at NLUO, have chosen Maritime Law as the subject matter to complement the maritime operations in Odisha and consequently promote intellectual discourse in the field of Maritime Law. The NLUO-IMAM has created a niche for itself as it is the first moot competition in India and third moot competition in the world to have maritime law as its principal subject area. We endeavour to provide our participants with challenging disputes every successive edition only to help them scale new heights. The participating teams will have an unmatched prospect to understand the intricacies of practical legal issues and pose constructive arguments which will augment their interest and understanding of international maritime arbitration. Eligibility All students registered with law schools, faculties of law and other higher educational institutions offering a law degree program or offering law as a part of its program of study are eligible to participate in the Competition. All participants must be students pursuing either undergraduate or postgraduate law course (including LL.M. programs) or its equivalent conducted by any recognized institution. No student who has been licensed to practice law is eligible to participate in the Competition. Each participating institution is entitled to send only one team to the Competition, comprising of students from the Undergraduate or Post Graduate law course, or both. Team members must be bona fide students of the institution they are representing. The maximum number of teams allowed to compete in the oral rounds of the competition are twenty (20). The selection of the top twenty teams, out of all the registered teams will be based on the ‘Written Submissions’ submitted by the registered teams. Team Composition A team shall consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members. There can be more than two Speakers in a team. However, in each oral round, only two members of the team shall be allowed to present the arguments. Only those participants, duly registered as Speakers in the registration form, shall be allowed to present the oral arguments. Team may alter or vary the order in which the Speakers may present the oral arguments. Once registered, a team will not be permitted to vary the composition of the team in any manner. Changes, if any, may only be made with the prior approval of the TMS (at their discretion), if due reason is shown for the same. Registration Each team shall register for the competition by duly filing the online registration form, available on the official website before 22nd January 2022 (11:59 P.M. IST). While filling the registration form, the teams have to select a team liaison. All communications concerning the competition shall be emailed to the team liaison. It is assumed that all the information communicated and materials distributed to the team liaison is communicated to the team. An initial ‘preliminary registration fee’ of INR 1500 or USD 50 shall be remitted by all the Indian teams and overseas teams participating in the competition respectively. For teams that qualify the oral rounds in accordance with Rule 10.3.9, an additional ‘final registration fee’ of INR 5500 will be charged for Indian Teams and USD 100 for the overseas teams. This fee shall be inclusive of accommodation on the competition days and transportation to and from the competition venue to the accommodation. National Law School – Trilegal Arbitration Moot (NLSTIAM)

The XIV Edition This year National Law School of India (NLSIU) in association with Trilegal, brings you the XIV Edition of the NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot, set to take place from 20th to 23rd May 2021. After successfully conducting the virtual rounds in 2020, with the knowledge and skills gained, the organizing team of NLSTIAM is glad to welcome universities from all over the world for its 14th edition. The four-day program will provide a platform for students from diverse backgrounds and cultures to interact and challenge their skills as future practitioners in the field of international arbitration. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsisting safety guidelines, we have decided to hold virtual rounds. The committee will be utilizing online communication platforms such as Zoom to provide the peerless virtual round experience as expected by the teams. Furthermore, owing to our past year's experience of conducting an online Mooting environment, we hope to bring our expertise to the table to provide a smoother experience for all teams. A recognized institution shall be entitled to send only one team to the competition, whether from the Undergraduate or Post Graduate law course, or a mixed team. In a system where a university has constituent colleges, each college can register a team or the university as such can be represented by a team comprising students from different constituent colleges. Team Composition A team can have a minimum of two members and a maximum of four members. In each of the oral rounds, two members of the team will be speakers. Other members of the team shall not aid them during the presentation of arguments in any way whatsoever. Different members of the team can be speakers in different oral rounds. However, to be eligible for the award for Best Individual Speaker mentioned in Rule 15.3, a participant must have argued at least once for the Claimant and once for the Respondent during the preliminary rounds. The average score per argument will be calculated and the award will be determined on that basis. Once registered, a team will not be permitted to vary the composition of the team in any manner. Changes, if any, may only be made with the express permission of the administrators (at their discretion), if the due reason is shown for the same. Any changes with respect to the contact details shall be notified to the administrators with immediate effect. This obligation to inform shall continue throughout the course of the Competition Certificates for participating team members will be prepared from the team lists submitted. The certificates of participation will show the names of the team members exactly as they have been submitted. It is therefore incumbent on teams to ensure that names are spelt and presented correctly. Registration Each team shall register for the moot by filling the online registration form before March 10, 2021, and March 20, 2021 (GMT) for Indian and International Teams respectively. The online registration form that needs to be filled is available here and on the official website of the Competition. The teams are strongly encouraged to complete the registration form at the earliest possible. While filling the registration form, the teams have to choose a primary contact person. All communications concerning the Moot will be sent by e-mail to the nominated contact person. It is that person’s responsibility to convey all relevant information and distribute all relevant material to the team. Registration Fee The registration fee for both Indian and overseas teams is INR 3,000. The registration fee is non-refundable and has to be paid by all teams, irrespective of whether they qualify for the oral rounds. Payment of Registration Fee The registration fee for the Moot is to be paid online, the details of which shall be notified by the organizers in due course of time. Any transfer fees or any other incidental charges must be paid by the transferor. The wire transfer must also indicate the name of the institution for which the transfer has been made. All teams must email a scanned copy of the payment receipt to [email protected]. The payment receipt must be emailed to the organisers within 3 days of the expiry of the deadline of payment. After the payment of the registration fees (initial or final), an email must be sent to [email protected], with the details of the transaction. This is mandatorily required. Once a team is registered after filling in the registration form, a team code shall be assigned to it by the administrators. This team code will serve as their unique identifier both for Memorials and at the oral rounds. Any team that fails to send the details of the payment of fees shall not be allocated a team code. The administrators reserve the absolute discretion to refuse or cancel the registration of any team. Competition Format The Competition shall consist of preliminary rounds and advanced rounds. Each team shall argue in four (4) Preliminary Rounds: twice as Claimant and twice as Respondent. The Advanced Rounds shall, unless otherwise specified, consist of three knock-out rounds – the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and the Final. The scoring and tabulation for the competition shall be based on a Round Points (“RP”) system. Each preliminary round will be decided on a scale of 9 round points, with 6 round points allocated to the oral round scores, and 3 round points allocated to the memorandum scores. Prizes and Awards The winner of the Final Round will be declared the “Winning Team”, while the losing finalists will be declared the “Runners-Up”. The Teams with the highest total memorandum score (out of 200) for each side will be awarded the “Best Memorandum – Claimant” and “Best Memorial- Respondent” awards respectively. The speaker with the highest average score at the conclusion of the preliminary rounds will be adjudged the “Best Speaker”. The average score will be calculated by dividing the total marks of each speaker by the number of times the speaker has presented oral arguments. To be eligible for the “Best Speaker Award”, a speaker must have argued at least once for the Claimant and once for the Respondent in the preliminary rounds. The competition is scheduled from April 23, 2021, to April 25, 2021. About UPES Established in the year 2007, UPES has emerged as a premier institution and is the first Indian University specializing in Energy Laws. UPES has constantly worked hard towards educating with purpose and creating skilled professionals to drive the Country. The School of Law, under the aegis of UPES, is a unique, domain-specific institution with specialization in courses like Energy Law, Corporate Law, Taxation Law, Cyber Law, Criminal law, Labour law and IPR, among others. UPES School of Law has been successfully organizing Dr. Paras Diwan Memorial International ‘Energy Law’ Moot Court Competitions since 2011. The competition aims at creating opportunities for learning and testing one’s skill in the field of energy laws. Over the years, this competition has sought to preserve and advance the legacy of Dr. Paras Diwan, an eminent jurist and a stalwart in the field of law. Since its inception, the competition has grown by leaps and bounds with the competition going international in 2015. With astronomical advancement, the competition has furthered the banner of Energy Law throughout the world. The theme for this year’s competition is conflict over gas explorations. In the light of the pandemic, the 11th edition will be held virtually this year, but that isn’t going to stop us from making it a memorable one. Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition 2020–2021

********************* THIS EVENT FOR THE YEAR 2021 HAS ENDED ********************* Jindal Global Law School is hosting the Surana and Surana India National Rounds of the 25th Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition. The moot court competition will be conducted from 12th to 14th February 2021. For the first time, the competition shall be held entirely virtually and the oral rounds shall be conducted on an online platform. The Stetson International Environmental Moot Court, Surana & Surana India Rounds will be judged by legal professionals, practitioners, and academicians, who have prior experience and/or exposure to the fields of International Law and Environmental Law. This shall provide participating students with the unique opportunity to interact with individuals from the field and network with their future colleagues during their practice. All participating teams shall be offered an unparalleled opportunity to present their arguments before renowned legal practitioners and academicians in the field of International Environmental Law, some of whom have excelled internationally at previous editions of the Stetson International Moot. Along with outstanding judges, the quality of participating teams at the India National Rounds is also of an exceptionally high standard. Important Information: The 2020 – 21 Stetson (India) will have a single National Round. The competition will be held in the English language. Not more than two additional members (total 5) may be part of a team. Additional members will not participate in the proceedings. All members will be awarded participation certificates. Additional members will be given only participation certificates, even if their teams win in any category. Team Participating in the India National Rounds from the Host School will be guided. Important: Only 3 members each from the top teams shall be eligible to participate in the International rounds. Teams that have up to 5 members in the India National rounds cannot claim the right to participate in the International rounds for the additional members. Teams are required to mention clearly the name of the additional members in the registration form. Please read International Round Rules carefully. Only two team members may present arguments or otherwise participate in any particular round (all three may argue during the competition, but only two may argue in any particular round). Institutions that are using the Stetson 2020-21 Compromis in the selection rounds for choosing the participants of India National rounds may inform the National Administrator about the number of teams/members that participated in the selection rounds. Judges There will be a minimum of two judges for the preliminary / Octa final / Quarterfinal rounds. In the absence of the Third judge, the average marks of the two judges would be the score of the third judge. There will be a minimum of 3 judges for the Semi-Finals and Final. Registration Online registrations will be open from 2nd November 2020. Teams must register online latest by 25 November 2020 at http://www.moot.in/ Participants will receive approval as confirmation of their online registration & participation from time to time as and when they register. There is no registration/participation fee for Surana & Surana India National Rounds. A scanned copy of the approval letter duly signed by any of the following: Faculty-in-charge of MCS/MCA, Registrar, Principal, Dean, Director, Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor on the letterhead of the participating college/ institution / University is required to be uploaded during the online registration process. The letter must contain names, year/semester of study of the participants. Alternatively, teams may get the signature of any of the aforementioned persons under their official seal on the registration form itself appended below. Registrations without the registration form/approval letter from the college/institution / University as mentioned above is not valid.
