Colloquium 6.0: Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) by ILS Law College, Pune

ILS Law College Pune, is organizing the 6th edition of its colloquium on the emerging issue of the Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) on May 15. About the Organizer Established in 1924, ILS Law College is one of the premier law schools in India and has been playing a pioneering role in legal education and scholarship in the country. Since its inception, ILS Law College has produced some of the most highly regarded contributors in the field of law. The ILS Corporate Law Cell is a student-run body of ILS Law College, Pune, founded in 2009, under the aegis of the faculty- in-charges Ms. Swatee Yogesh and Ms. Ninawari Ware. The Cell was set up with the idea of extending discussions on corporate law issues beyond the classroom. It conducts weekly discussions, activities and competitions like the Extempore Moot Court to encourage student participation and interest in corporate laws. About the Conference The Colloquium is an annual conference organised by the ILS Corporate Law Cell on contemporary issues in corporate law. The previous editions of the Colloquium have had discussions on Real Estate Investment Trusts, Blockchain technology, Cryptocurrencies, Restrictions on layering of subsidiaries and the Takeover code among others. The Colloquium provides an ideal academic platform for students to discuss emerging issues of the corporate world and novel views of eminent experts in the field. The Duke Law Journal invites a call for papers for submissions of articles and essays making important, original contributions to legal scholarship. Comments and book reviews will be considered on a limited basis. About Duke University Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. About Duke Law Journal (DLJ) The first issue of what was to become the Duke Law Journal was published in March 1951 as the Duke Bar Journal. Created to provide a medium for student expression, the Duke Bar Journal consisted entirely of student-written and student-edited work until 1953, when it began publishing faculty contributions. To reflect the inclusion of faculty scholarship, the Duke Bar Journal became the Duke Law Journal in 1957. 2nd Annual Tax Writing Competition for Students, by Bloomberg Tax

Bloomberg’s second annual tax-writing competition is now open for students to show off their work in writing on current events and issues in tax practice and policy. The Bloomberg Tax Student Writing Competition If you have an original take on current events and issues in tax practice and policy—but you’re not yet a tax professional, then Bloomberg Tax’s second annual tax-writing competition is the perfect opportunity to show off your work. The competition is intended to highlight the very best of student writing. How Does it Work? Write an article addressing a timely tax policy issue. We’re looking for a thoughtful analysis, not a news or legal summary. Pick a topic, take a position, and explain why it matters in the tax world. For example, you could focus on reporting foreign assets for U.S. taxpayers, sticking points for crypto transactions, or analyzing challenges related to enforcing the OECD’s Pillars One and Two. You can choose anything as long as it’s tax focused and policy oriented. Submission Guidelines Entries should weigh in between 750 and 1,750 words. Entries beyond the word limit will be ignored. Works must be original and may not appear elsewhere. Bllomberg Tax doesn’t publish footnotes or endnotes, but you can hyperlink to sources. Be sure to credit any sources or quotes. You can submit charts or graphs to make your article more compelling, but you’re not required to do so. Call for Papers by Amity International Journal of Juridical Sciences (AIJJS) Vol VII

AIJJS or Amity International Journal of Juridical Sciences is inviting submissions by way of a Call for Papers for its Volume VII. About the Journal (AIJJS) Amity International Journal of Juridical Science (AIJJS) is published annually by Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida bearing ISSN 2395-4019. It is a faculty-run Annual Blind Peer Refereed Journal whose primary goal is to serve an important legal scholarship academic forum on any issue. Word Limit Research Articles (words between 5000 to 6000, except footnotes) Book Review/Case Comments (2500 words, except footnotes) Please follow the prescribed word limit. Formatting Guidelines The manuscript body must be in the “Times New Roman” font with font size 12, line spacing 1.5 and the “justified” alignment with 1 inch margins on all sides of page with page numbers; All footnotes must be in “Times New Roman” with font size 10, line spacing 1. Submission Guidelines The entries (short articles, columns, poems, paintings & photographs) must be the original work of the author(s) and must not have been sent for consideration at any other place for presentation or publication. The work should not be plagiarized. Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed for the articles. The short-articles/columns/poems must be submitted in an MS-Word document and painting/photographs must be submitted in .jpg/.png form. The article must include a brief description of the author. The copyright of the articles shall automatically transfer to CEDM-HPNLU, Shimla editorial board. In relation to all the disputes, the decision of the editorial board shall be final and binding. 9th Jamia National Moot Court Competition

Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia is organizing its 9th Jamia National Moot Court Competition, 2022 via virtual mode from June 3 to June 5, 2022. About Jamia Millia Islamia Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 1920 and was accorded the status of a Central University in 1988 provides multidisciplinary courses. The Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 1989. About the Moot This is the 9th edition of Jamia National Moot Court Competition, which is being organized by the Moot Court Association, Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi through an Online Virtual Platform from June 3 to 5, 2022. This year’s moot proposition revolves around contemporary questions of law which are of extreme significance and the nuances of the much-contended provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and the newly-enacted Criminal Procedure (Identification) Act, 2022, which have received the limelight in recent times. Eligibility The competition is open to bona-fide undergraduate students from recognized Colleges/Institutions/Universities currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3/5 years). Not more than one team shall be allowed to register and participate in the competition from the same College/Institution/University. Team Size and Other Information Each team shall consist of three (03) members. The substitution of any team member is not allowed except with the permission of the organisers. Every team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher. The Department of Law, University of Calcutta is inviting blog submissions for its blog ‘Legis Sententia’ through a call for blogs. About the Organizers Established in 1909 under the guidance of Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee, the Department of Law of the University of Calcutta is one of the oldest legal institutions in the South Asian subcontinent. The Journal and Seminar Committee is a student-run academic committee of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, committed to regulate, facilitate and promote the spirit of legal research, academic writing and substantive discourse within the realm of contemporaneous jurisprudence. About the Blog Legis Sententia (Legis – law or legislation; Sententia – an opinion) is the online-only undergraduate blog of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, overseen and regulated by the Editorial Board of the Journal and Seminar Committee of the Department. Social Walk: Let society know which social issues concern you the most by way of dressing, slogans, quotes etc. Join the walk with other students raising their respective concerns in this Social Walk. Client Counselling: The Participant has to interview a person playing the role of the client. Participants are expected to elicit the relevant information from the client. Law Treasure Hunt: In a treasure hunt, participants work in small teams to find the treasure with the help of given clues. The team that decodes the clue and finds the treasure first will win the game.
