National Article Writing Competition on ‘Dropping of Criminal Proceedings-A Case for Economic Fugitives’, by Integral University

Legal Aid Society, Faculty of Law, Integral University is organizing a National Article Writing Competition on ‘Dropping of Criminal Proceedings-A Case for Economic Fugitives’. About Legal Aid Society, Faculty of Law, Integral University Imparting legal awareness is the first step towards ensuring prompt and effective access to justice. Keeping this in mind, the Bar Council of India mandated all law colleges and universities in India to establish and run legal aid centers or clinics. The idea was to fulfill certain standards of legal education, but more importantly, it was also aimed at engaging the students in serving their community by promoting legal awareness through these legal aid clinics and programs. Following the same mandate the Legal Aid Society, Faculty of Law, Integral University was established, for providing free legal aid services for free to the needy or the poor section of the society, who are not capable of affording a legal representative for them who can fight a case for them, so the government has brought out the service for free legal aid to the needy people; to fulfill the objective of Article 39A of the Constitution of India. About the Article Writing Competition Effective writing is a form of art, which only certain people possess. The main objective of this article writing competition is to convey the thoughts to the people and give information regarding the details which can be useful and helpful. With the help of a matter of interest, to convey the very idea of one perspective, a good article requires a lot of research information intertwined with suggestions and advice, which the author believes to achieve the attention of the reader. The main objective of the article writing competition is to evaluate and to check the knowledge of candidates about specific topics and the way they describe the same in writing. Rules of the Competition Format: The article must be written in English and submitted in Microsoft Word document format (.doc/.docx). Co-authorship: Up to a maximum of two authors is permitted. Number of Submissions Allowed: Only 1 submission is allowed per author/team. Submissions, both as co-author and single, will be treated as multiple submissions and will be disqualified as an entry to the competition. Formatting Specifications: The following formatting specifications need to be strictly adhered to: Main Body: Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 12, and Line Spacing – 1.5; Footnotes: Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 10, and Line Spacing – 1.0 and footnotes must follow the Bluebook system of citation (APA, 20th edition). Margins should be 1 inch or 2.54 cm on all sides. Word Limit: 2000- 2500 words excluding footnotes. Abstract: The article must contain an abstract, not exceeding 250 words (which would not be counted in the word limit for the article). It must indicate the theme/topic. How to Submit? About the Jeppiaar Virtual Moot Court Competition 2022 The School of Law of SIST (Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology) is organizing the Col. Dr. Jeppiaar 3rd All India Virtual Moot Court Competition 2022, to be held from April 28 to 30, 2022. Eligibility and Team Composition Students pursuing their bachelor’s degree in Law, i.e., either 3 year or 5-year courses from all law colleges/institutions/universities across the country recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to take part in the competition. All three members of a team should belong to the same institution, cross-institute teams are strictly ineligible to participate in the Col. Dr. Jeppiaar 3rd All India Virtual Moot Court Competition 2022. Team Composition Each team shall comprise of two speakers and one researcher (team of 3 members) or two speakers (team of 2 members). About the Organizer The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. This platform provides opportunities to the students ranging from +2 Board level to Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programs. Subsequently, the participants will receive an email, signifying the status of their provisional registration for participation. The participants will be required to make the payment within 3 days of the receipt of the email of acceptance of provisional registration. There will be a maximum cap of 24 participants. The registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and any change in the registration must be informed to the organizers at the earliest. The participants will be required to pay ? 1600 as registration fees once their provisional registration is confirmed by the organizers. The propositions for the first two rounds will be released 24 hours prior to the commencement of the competition (i.e. on April 7, 2022) which will revolve around Competition Law, Intellectual Property Law, Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. Client Counselling Competition, 2022 The participants shall be from any of the 3 Year LLB or 5 Year Integrated LLB Course. The Department of Intellectual Property Law of TNDALU & TNSCST is jointly organizing National Seminar on April 23, 2022. About the Organization The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) is a public state university established in 1997 in Chennai, India by the Government of Tamil Nadu under The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Act, 1996, which also brought all law colleges in Tamil Nadu under the control of the university. The Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) serves as a liaison between the Government of India and the State Government to initiate, supervise and conduct successful research by giving opportunities to rural, unemployed and economically backward researchers with the sole aim of promoting and inculcating quality research. About the Seminar Every April 26, it’s celebrated as World Intellectual Property Day to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. World Intellectual Property 2022 recognizes the huge potential of young people to find new and better solutions that support the transition to a sustainable future. This year the theme of World Intellectual Property Day is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future” and celebrates youth-led innovation and creativity. Taking into consideration the theme for World IP Day: Department of IPL, IP cell & TNSCST Jointly organize National Seminar on April 23, 2022. Call for Papers Papers are invited from Academicians, Legal practitioners, Research Scholars and students on the issues related to the theme. The original and unpublished papers will be considered for the presentation in the seminar. The paper will be evaluated by the experts and selected papers will be published in the nex Volume of TNDALU- IPLR (Intellectual Property Law Review). Submission Guidelines It may be noted that the papers submitted will be subject to anti-plagiarism check, and the papers with plagiarized contents will be rejected. Further all the papers will be subjected to double blind review. Only full papers submitted on or before the deadline shall be considered for presentation. The author of selected paper will be given an opportunity to present the paper. The abstract should not contain more than 250 words along with the particulars of the author including his/her email, contact number and the author’s address for correspondence. The name of the Author, institution of affiliation should be given in a separate sheet. Formatting Guidelines The maximum limit of the paper is 5000 words (excluding footnotes). File type: MS Word, Page A4 Margins: 1’’ all sides, Font: Times New Roman Size 12 for the main body with 1.5 lines spacing and Times New Roman Size 10 with single line space for foot notes.
